This Volvo 360C Concept Still Feels Fresh

Revisiting this sexy concept from Volvo from 2018, showcasing their idea of autonomy.

_____________

Volvo’s current lineup of cars showcase an interesting integration of technology and design, distinctive and handsome. Things are about to get more radical with the 360c Concept, which may see the light of day by 2021. A thoroughly futuristic design, the 360c is a vehicle without any traditional driver setup. Instead, the car provides an autonomous platform where the passenger space can be transformed from relaxed lounging arrangement, to a lay-flat sleeping configuration.

The fully electric drivetrain means to provide point-to-point transportation in safety and comfort that could  even replace some shorter airline travel. Instead of traveling to an airport and paying to be cramped in a small airline seat, imagine falling gently to sleep, while your autonomous Volvo whisks you to your final destination. Needless to say, the Volvo 360c is equipped with a full suite of safety technology, and will probably even have some yet-to-be-invented equipment onboard by the time it reaches production in 2021.
