BMW officially announced and revealed their 2027 BMW X5 offering, which includes an all-electric iX5 variant, as well as a plug-in hybrid, and forthcoming hydrogen-fueled model.
The car’s most distinctive angle would be the new front end, which cleverly uses daytime LEDs to create an iconic “X” shape.

The brand’s best selling nameplate ushers in the Neue Klasse design that we’ve seen on the iX3, but with larger proportions, and all manner of new tech.
The exterior features clean lines that even eschew door handles, opting instead for ‘winglets’ that electronically open and close the doors.

The interior boasts the company’s new Panoramic iDrive system, as well as a driver and passenger screen, a first in this SUV lineup.
Diffused ambient lighting and slate touches add a natural, dynamic feel to the cabin as well.

With it brings some massive range numbers, courtesy of its huge 144 kWh battery, which is structurally part of the vehicle’s frame.
This battery, combined with aerodynamic features give the electric iX5 an expected range of an EPA estimated 435 miles.

The rear angle shows a distinctive wide stance, and taillights that reach far across the rear, save for the BMW emblem.

We’re curious to see how this new lineup shakes out. Will the electric variant be a solid seller?
