In Munich this year Avatr revealed its Vision Xpectra, a luxury EV concept built for those who expect more from an electric limousine. CREATED in partnership with Changan, CATL, and Huawei, it pushes beyond standard sedan or coupe design.
The Vision Xpectra is gargantuan—over 19 feet long, with a wheelbase of 3,450 mm, width more than 2.1 meters, and height under 1.41 meters. It is longer than even the Rolls-Royce Phantom, a statement piece meant to dominate presence.

Its shape is bold, yet elegant. Clean, sculpted panels flow into wide fenders. A massive glass canopy extends over the cabin, giving a panoramic feel. LED lighting serves both form and function—split LEDs trace the front end and bumper, merging into sculpted lines across hood and fenders. When the driver arrives the body glows softly in greeting.

Inside feels more lounge than cockpit. The rear-hinged suicide doors open wide to reveal four seats upholstered in rich leather mixed with straw marquetry. Headrests inflate like plush pillows. Ambient lighting shifts with mood. Transparent displays float across the dashboard. Lamella details on doors flow into interior surfaces. Touch and gesture controls replace many physical buttons. Central to it all is the “Vortex” — an AI assistant interacting via light and motion.

Some features remain conceptual: no word yet on powertrain or production timeline. It will not be mass-produced, but it sets design cues for Avatr’s future high-end models.

I live in Australia, and the thought of that house glasshouse/hotbox/natural oven is terrifying.
The volume of the huge cabin would be very difficult to keep tolerably cool, and would render the vehicle completely unsuitable for pretty much any country where the sun shines.
