Renault has unveiled the Filante Record 2025, an all-electric concept car inspired by fighter jets and designed to set new efficiency and range records.
This single-seater features a pedal-less cockpit, utilizing steer-by-wire and brake-by-wire systems controlled via a central steering apparatus equipped with grab handles and a flexible display.
Constructed from lightweight materials, including aluminum, carbon, and steel alloys, and incorporating 3D-printed components from high-strength Scalmalloy, the vehicle weighs under 1000 kg. Its 87 kWh battery is housed in a carbon fiber casing, contributing to the car’s lightweight design.
The Filante Record 2025 is set to undergo wind tunnel testing in the spring, with record-breaking attempts planned before July. This endeavor draws inspiration from Renault’s history of record-setting vehicles, such as the Étoile Filante from 1956.
